About
A church family in Upland, California.
Our Story
Living Word of Upland is a church family rooted in faith, prayer, God's Word, and a heart for people. Formally established in Upland in 2022, the church has continued to grow as a place where individuals and families can worship, build relationships, and grow in their walk with Jesus Christ.
That heart extends beyond Sunday services. Living Word of Upland believes faith should be lived out in the community. Through ongoing outreach and partnerships, the church has helped support local families through events and resources including back-to-school outreach, holiday giving, and other community efforts.
At the center of Living Word is a simple vision: Reach. Teach. Mend. Send. We want to reach people with the love of Jesus Christ, teach the truth of Scripture, help mend lives and families through faith and fellowship, and encourage believers to live out their God-given purpose.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help people know Jesus Christ, grow in their relationship with Him, experience the strength of a church family, and live out their faith with purpose.
That mission is expressed through four words that guide Living Word of Upland: Reach. Teach. Mend. Send.
Reach our community with the love and Gospel of Jesus Christ, welcoming people into a place where they can belong and encounter God.
Teach the truth of Scripture and help people grow stronger in their relationship with Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, and discipleship.
Help restore lives, families, and relationships through the love of Christ, prayer, fellowship, and God's Word.
Prepare and encourage believers to live out their faith, serve others, and fulfill their God-given purpose.

Our Faith
At Living Word of Upland, our faith is centered on Jesus Christ and grounded in God's Word. These foundational beliefs guide our worship, teaching, prayer, discipleship, and life together as a church family.
We believe the Old and New Testaments are the inspired and authoritative Word of God and provide the foundation for Christian faith and life.
We believe in one God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He came to reveal God to humanity, gave His life for our sins, rose from the dead, and is Lord and Savior.
We believe salvation is found through faith in Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, we receive forgiveness, new life, and reconciliation with God.
We believe the Holy Spirit works in the lives of believers, bringing new life and helping us grow, live, and serve according to God's Word.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, grow in faith, love and serve others, make disciples, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
